Advanced Natal — Chiron, Lilith & Asteroids
Go past the Sun, Moon and planets to the points that tell the deeper story — Chiron, Black Moon Lilith, the asteroids Ceres, Pallas, Juno and Vesta, the Vertex and the Part of Fortune. Free to compute, each with its sign, degree and meaning; Pro adds the full written reading.
These advanced points sit on top of your natal placements. Calculate your full birth chart free, then go deeper with Pro.
Beyond the ten planets
Your birth chart is usually told through the Sun, Moon and eight planets — but the sky the moment you were born holds more than that. The advanced points on this page pick up the threads the ten planets leave out: the wound you were born carrying, the part of you that refuses to be domesticated, and the smaller bodies that colour how you nurture, think, commit and devote yourself.
Enter your birth details above and Sigastra computes each point from the real ephemeris (Swiss Ephemeris), places it on your natal wheel, and gives you its sign, degree and a one-line meaning. The positions are free; the deeper written reading is where Pro comes in.
Chiron — the wound and the healer
Chiron is a small body orbiting between Saturn and Uranus, and in astrology it marks the core wound — the place where you were hurt early and never quite stopped feeling it. Its sign and house show the theme of that wound and where it keeps getting touched.
The turn Chiron offers is that the wound becomes the gift: the exact place you were hurt is usually where you understand others most, and where you end up helping them heal. Knowing your Chiron is knowing both your soft spot and your quiet vocation. A dedicated Chiron page is coming soon.
Black Moon Lilith (mean)
Black Moon Lilith is not a body at all — it is the mean lunar apogee, the point where the Moon’s orbit swings furthest from Earth. (Sigastra computes the mean, the most widely used version.) Astrologically it stands for the raw, untamed, disowned self: the desires and instincts you were told to hide, and what happens when they refuse to stay hidden.
Read by sign and house, Lilith shows where you resist being controlled, where shame was attached to something in you, and where reclaiming that part becomes a source of power rather than embarrassment. A dedicated Black Moon Lilith page is coming soon.
The asteroids, Vertex & Part of Fortune
Four asteroids fill in the relational and working textures of the chart. Ceres speaks to nurture, loss and the cycles of giving and letting go; Pallas to wisdom, strategy and the patterns you notice; Juno to commitment, partnership and what you need to stay; Vesta to devotion, focus and the sacred flame you tend.
The Vertex is a sensitive angle in the west of the chart often linked to fated encounters and turning points — meetings that feel arranged. The Part of Fortune is an Arabic Part built from your Sun, Moon and Ascendant, marking where ease, flow and good fortune tend to gather. Both sharpen considerably with an accurate birth time.
Advanced natal FAQ
What is Chiron in astrology?+
Chiron is a small body between Saturn and Uranus known as the wounded healer. Its sign and house point to a core early wound — and to where, having felt it, you understand and help others heal. Enter your details above to find yours.
What is Black Moon Lilith?+
Black Moon Lilith is the mean lunar apogee — the point where the Moon’s orbit is furthest from Earth, not a physical object. In a chart it represents the raw, untamed, disowned self: the instincts you were taught to hide and the power in reclaiming them.
Which asteroids are included?+
Sigastra computes the four main asteroids: Ceres (nurture and letting go), Pallas (wisdom and strategy), Juno (commitment and partnership) and Vesta (devotion and focus), alongside Chiron, Black Moon Lilith, the Vertex and the Part of Fortune.
Do I need my birth time?+
You can compute the sign positions without it, but an accurate birth time makes the Vertex, the Part of Fortune and every house placement meaningful — all three depend on the exact angles of your chart, which move quickly through the day.
